About this cartoon: Civil unrest by African Americans in places where shootings of young black males by white police officers have occured are triggered partly by such shootings, but these also result from decades, if not generations, of frustration in the black community that there is no way to get ahead, and economic opportunities offered to other groups seem to be out of their reach.
